last month I've had a particularly difficult, which made me think and now I want to share the outcome of this reflection Psalm 1:1-6
"Blessed is the man who the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers, but in the law of the Lord delights and meditates day and night on it.
is like a tree planted by streams of water, when their time comes, fruit and leaves wither.
so the wicked!
In contrast, the wicked are like chaff blown by the wind.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the trial, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD watches the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. "
Undoubtedly this psalm gives us guidelines for our lives, guidelines often do not take into account or finally the obvious in our daily walk, which in one form or another has consequences in our lives, God through the Psalmist is clear in its advice, and we are responsible to follow what he tells us.
If we took the time to take stock of what God has blessed us every day, I think we would be surprised, it is true that in their own right are not righteous, but those who have received Christ into our lives we declared righteous through him and the psalm makes clear that God cares for the path of the righteous.
Sometimes we lose our horizon and I do not want to misunderstand what I express below, because we all the right things in our life long, but would respond to questions such as:
Would you like to be a millionaire, or prefer to be blessed?
Would you like a new car, or would you rather be blessed?
Want a new home, or would you rather be blessed?
There may be even more examples, and in all honesty do not know if I'd be a millionaire, but I would like to have a new car and a new home and perhaps many other things, but only if it is a product of God's blessing, it is true that today I have none of that material, but I can state with certainty that I have been blessed, and God in all these years I departed from his blessing, he has cared for me and my family that has given me an eternal salvation, that I raised from the dead, that called my son, and so much more I think I have only to say Thank you Lord for each day that passes.
Finally just say that I think the key is in obedience to what God tells us to live what it says in Psalm 1 and to be clearer, to make our what God says in Deuteronomy 28:1 - 14
Blessings for obedience
"If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all these commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you up of all nations of the earth. If you obey the Lord your God, all these blessings will come upon you and accompany you forever:
will be blessed in the city and blessed in the field.
Blessed be the fruit of thy womb, your crops, the young of your livestock, the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading table.
home will be blessed, and blessed on the road.
The Lord will grant you victory over your enemies. Advance against you in perfect formation, but flee in disarray.
The Lord bless your barns, and all the work of your hands.
The Lord your God will bless on earth that has given you.
The Lord will establish you as his holy people, according to his oath, if you follow His commandments and walk in his ways. All nations on earth respect to recognize you as the Lord's people.
The Lord will give you plenty of goods: multiply your children, your livestock and your crops on land which he swore to your fathers to give thee.
The Lord will open the heavens, their generous treasure, to pour a timely rain upon the earth, and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but shall not borrow from anyone. The Lord will take the lead, never in the queue. You will always be at the top, never at the bottom, as long as you pay attention to the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you and obey them carefully. Never turn away from any words that I command you today, to follow and serve other gods. "
